Honey-Do Good

  • 6 Degrees.org:  Founded in 2001, Network for Good established 6Degrees.org as a place where donors, volunteers and non-profits can come together to do good by making charitable contributions online, finding volunteer opportunities and connecting with fellow advocates.

Honey-Be Artsy

  • GenArt: Become a member and get free tickets to movie screenings and discounted tickets to events featuring emerging fashion designers and artists.
  • East Bay Depot of Creative Reuse:  A super-duper place to gather materials for making your own art.

Honey-Be Fit

  • Tennis:  My nickname isn't tennisgrlee for nothin'! There are dozens of active USTA leagues and community tennis associations in the SF Bay Area.  My favorites happen to be out of Davie Tennis and Montclair Tennis Association.
  • ElevationSF is also a great group to join if you're looking to hike moderate to strenuous Bay Area trails with other hiking enthusiasts.

Honey-Eat Well

  • Culinate:  A new food website featuring well-written articles and thoughtful essays that address the multitude of intersections between food and the rest of our lives.
  • Food Fit:  A website managed by the American Diabetes Association, this is a great place to find healthy recipes.
  • Tastespotting:  Salivate over luscious photos of food.
  • Farmer's Market:  Now that it's summer, I'm harvesting a lot of herbs and veggies from the garden, but since the plum and fig trees aren't ready yet, I hit the farmer's market for summer stone fruit and sunburst squash.  Plus, I love supporting local growers.

Honey-Feel Pretty

  • Blueprint:  Martha Stewart for sassy, urban chicks in their late 20-30s looking for low-cost, DIY ways to enhance their personal style.
  •  Notcot:   A design blog featuring modern, playful, gorgeous things.
  • Guerilla Makeovers: Are you wishing your friends are videotaping you so you could end up with a makeover by Stacy and Clinton of "What Not to Wear?"   Well, don't wait.  See local stylist, Beth Alyse of Guerilla Makeovers and she'll make you feel pretty.
  • Hovey Lee.com:  Hovey's jewelry packs a lot of chic and simple elegance.  I own a few pieces, garnering the oohs and aahs of friends and colleagues -- so should you!
  • Antiques by the Bay:  Found is my personal style, and when I'm on the hunt for orange mid-century ceramics, the Alameda flea market is the place to go.
